If you’re an adult struggling with intense emotions, relationship challenges, or feeling overwhelmed by daily stress, this DBT skills group offers a structured, supportive space to learn practical tools that can make a real difference.
This ongoing virtual group walks through the four core DBT skill modules—mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness—helping you build skills step by step while connecting with others who share similar challenges.
Who This Group Is For
- Adults (18+) looking to improve emotional regulation and coping skills
- Individuals experiencing anxiety, mood swings, or difficulty managing stress
- People who struggle with relationships, boundaries, or communication
- Individuals open to both learning and sharing in a supportive group setting

How the Group Works
- Ongoing, module-based group (new members join at the start of each module)
- Each module runs approximately 4 weeks
- Participants are encouraged to complete all four modules
- Virtual sessions
- 1-hour weekly meetings
- Limited group size to support engagement and connection
What to Expect Each Week
Module 1: Mindfulness
- Learn how to stay present and aware in the moment
- Build skills to observe thoughts and feelings without judgment
- Develop a stronger sense of control and focus
Module 2: Distress Tolerance
- Learn how to get through difficult moments without making things worse
- Build crisis survival strategies and grounding techniques
- Develop tools for accepting reality when change isn’t possible
Module 3: Emotion Regulation
- Understand how emotions work and how to manage them effectively
- Learn ways to reduce emotional vulnerability
- Build strategies to increase positive emotional experiences
Module 4: Interpersonal Effectiveness
- Improve communication and assertiveness skills
- Learn how to set and maintain healthy boundaries
- Build confidence in navigating relationships
Each module includes an introduction to key skills, guided practice, and between-session exercises to help you apply what you’re learning in daily life.
Approach
This group is DBT-informed and skills-focused, drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy to teach practical, evidence-based strategies.
While it incorporates core DBT skills, this is not a full DBT program to fidelity (for example, it does not include 24/7 phone coaching). The focus is on learning and practicing skills in a structured, supportive group environment.
