I trust you to make your own decisions and will offer you new tools and skills as you lead the way.

I’m a second-year student in the Art Therapy master’s program at NYU. Prior to NYU, I worked as an activity facilitator designed for people with cognitive and/or physical disabilities and their families, which is how I came to understand the potential of healing within art and movement.

While earning my bachelor’s from CUNY Brooklyn College in psychology with a minor in visual art, I interned at and worked for NYU’s Center for Health and Aging Innovation, an organization that aims to promote health and wellbeing across the lifespan for everyone and fights ageism.

I’ve worked with a range of populations including children, adolescents, and older people. During my internship at Brookdale Hospital I worked with more than 50 children and adolescents in the acute in-patient psychiatry department in both group and individual sessions, a dozen of which identified as LGBTQIA+.

In June 2023 I co-facilitated an art therapy event for LGBTQIA+ people over 60. I also have lived experience as queer and nonbinary, which some of my clients find helpful in creating a therapeutic alliance.

It takes imagination to envision a different future for yourself.

LGBTQIA+ street; find support for trans and gender non-conforming folks in NY

You are the expert of your mind. No one else has the same lived experience or understanding of what is right for you. As your therapist, my first priority is to help you gain clarity and make meaning of your own life.

My goal is to launch my own private practice serving members of the LGBTQIA+ community, especially people who are trans and/or gender non-conforming. I was drawn to Art Therapy because of how it melds creativity and healing.

Even if no art materials are picked up, seeking, and implementing change is in itself a creative process.
